NBJHL – East All Stars over West
Dieppe – The NBJHL All Star game was played here on Sunday afternoon and this year The East Division All Stars turned the table on their Western rivals. After losing last year’s tilt 2-5, the East won by the same score 5-2 this time around. The team made up with players from Dieppe/Memramcook, Shediac/CapPele and Kent Sud never trailed during the game and led 3-0 after the first and 4-1 heading into the final period. Kevin Cormier led the winners with 2 goals while singles went to Marc LeBlanc, Luc Bourgeois and Marc Cormier. Four players chipped in with two assists each, Sébastien Savoie, Denis Caissie, Michel Donelle and Jeremie Niles. Replying for the West division were Eoin MacIntyre and Curtis Smith. Most valuable players’ awards went to Kevin Cormier for the East and Curtis Smith for the West.
